Autumn Update

Autumn Update
We are now getting into the autumn season here at Grini Golfklubb. Unfortunatley, we have had a bit of a wet period of late, which has affected our cutting regimes. As we have not been cutting as regularly as we would have liked, we have taken the heights up a litte so we don't cause any damage to the turf.

We have already started preparing the course for winter. The greens have been scarified and sown, and all surfaces will soon get there last granular fertiliser of the season. We plan to cut down and collect all the long rough before the start of October.

As you have probably noticed, we have moved the bell on hole number 8 and cut a new path through the rough. This is to improve the safety of the hole. Please always check it's safe to play before you hit into the green, and remember to hit the bell on your way past!

We will start work constructing the new net on the trenings område early in October. We will have to close down the trenings område during the construction period. The chipping green, putting green and driving nets will remain open, and it will still be possible to take private lessons with our Pro, Jørn.

A few people have started to ask me when we will close the course for the season. It's still a little early to decide this, but as long as we are not causing any unnecessary damage and the weather holds out, we will remain open.
